Farmer's Market

I woke up bright and early Saturday morning with the intent of finding the local Farmer's Market. You see I moved back to my little home town late last year. Since the move I haven't taken the time to get out and see what goes on around here.

I left the house at about 7:30 and headed toward Main Street. A person can normally find out what is going on if they hit the main drag first, (most people anyway), I drove up and down Main Street several times finding no Farmer's Market. I drove to the South end of town and to the North end of town and to the West end of town and I thought to the East end of town, but apparently not far enough. By the way, all of that driving only took about 45 minutes, this is a very small town.

I finally gave up and headed to Wal Mart. Once I got inside the lovely greeter looked knowledgeable so I asked her if she knew if there was a Farmer's Market in town. She told me there was and exactly where I could find it. It was on the East side of town. I quickly got my shopping done at Wal Mart and headed toward the Farmer's Market. I am so glad I did!! There was a wealth of great finds!! I got some wonderful tomatoes, squash, green beans, and onions. I was thrilled!!

First Day of Spring

The first day of Spring is here! I can't tell you how excited I have been for Winter to be over. It was sunny and 70 degrees here yesterday and then today I wake up to snow! How deflating!!

Sole Sister Necklace

TNT is the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's endurance sports training program. Women from all over run either a full marathon of 26.2 miles or a half marathon of 13.1 miles. To enter the race each runner pays an entry fee of $1800, which goes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Most of the funds raised go to patient care.

I'm very proud to be chosen again in 2010 to design the fundraiser necklace for the Wichita TNT group. I also allow teams or individuals in other cities to sell the necklace as a fundraiser. I donate $14.00 from the sale of each necklace to this great cause!!
